Theatre
Autumn Royal
Ends 4 February: Autumn Royal comes to the Everyman theatre in Co Cork. This is a dark comedy set on the north side of Cork city. It is a play about life and death, love and hate, hysterical dependency, jealousy and rage. Written by Kevin Barry, Autumn Royal is his first piece and was written originally for the stage. Barry is the multi-award winning writer of the novels Beatlebone and City Of Bohane and the story collections Dark Lies, The Island and There Are Little Kingdoms. The play is based on two children who are looking after their father, which leads to their own lives being curtailed and closed down. Tickets for the show cost €15 to €26.
