Indonesia – Brazilian meat approvals
Indonesia has approved a further 17 Brazilian meat processing facilities, bringing the total to 38 that are allowed to supply beef for import.
Canada – wheat stock down
Canadian wheat stocks at the end of the 2024/25 season on 31 July were 4.1m tonnes, down 22% year on year.
UK – pork exports on the rise
AHDB reports that UK pigmeat exports increased by 5.2% in the first half of 2025 to 156,400 tonnes, an increase of 7,700t compared with last year.
New Zealand – US tariff cost
Beef and Lamb New Zealand report that the 15% tariff now applied on their meat exports to the US could cost NZ$ 500m (€252m) in a season.
