G F Coyle imports a range of Rozmital forage equipment, including tedders and swathers, for farmer and contractor use. The company is the Irish agent for the Hatzenbichler range of grass seeders and re-seeders, and the Carre range of harrows and cultivators.

Austrian Hatzenbichler

At the FTMTA Grass & Muck event, the recently-introduced Hatzenbichler Vertikator seeder and re-seeder will be on display. This machine has a working width of 3m.

The levelling plates are designed to level dung, thus providing a more even grass growth. Following from this, there are three rows of aggressive 12mm tines for cleaning up weeds and moss.

Finally, a Cambridge roller reconsolidates and presses the ground to provide the best conditions for seed germination.

Pasture harrow

This machine has a heavy-duty galvanised frame and is available from 2.5m to 6m working widths, with hydraulic folding. It has been designed with two rows of levelling plates and two rows of tines.

A simple low-cost operation, such as using a pasture harrow shortly after grazing, can increase the speed of your pasture recovery by dispersing manure heaps. Clearing out moss and thatch aerates the sward, allowing oxygen to get to the root zone.

This will minimise the time needed for recovery after stocking and maximise the field’s grazing potential. This machine increases natural fertilizer value, clears moss and activates natural nitrogen.
