Farmers can draw down over €7,300 per year for extensively grazing 10ha, sowing 1ha of winter bird cover, planting 500m of new hedgerows and 300 trees under the Agri Climate Rural Environment Scheme (ACRES).
Other actions include low emissions slurry spreading at a rate of €1.20/m³ or coppicing hedgerows at €2.87/m.
Some actions are set to exceed €1,000. The highest-paying action will see over €2,500 paid out to farmers for planting a tree belt of 0.5ha near farmyards. However, the costs of planting these trees lies with the farmer.

Meanwhile, exact payment rates for farmers undertaking results-based actions cannot be determined until their fields are scored. Reviews in years three and five of the scheme could increase or decrease these payments.
All payment rates will require European Commission approval.
