Participation in a Suckler Cow Fertility Themed Group can help increase the number of calving events achieving the annual Suckler Cow Scheme targets.
Farmers can apply to take part in a new themed group initiative which is focused on suckler cow fertility.
Themed groups are part of the DAERA Sustainable Agriculture Programme and aim to support farm businesses to improve key performance indicators such as herd fertility, calving performance, and overall livestock efficiency. Closing date for applications to a suckler fertility group is Friday 15 August at 4pm.
Each themed group runs for up to two years and brings together farmers with a shared interest in a particular challenge, supported by a CAFRE appointed facilitator.
To make an application go to the CAFRE website at www.cafre.ac.uk.
