An annual sale of Mule sheep held in Ballymena Mart on Tuesday saw a top price of £400/head paid for two pens of ewe lambs.

The two highest-priced pens were exhibited by Martin Kelly and Graham Loughry, both from Limavady. Overall, just over 1,900 mule ewe lambs sold to an average price of £208, which is up £70 from the same sale last year.

Martin Kelly had the highest flock average, with his 102 lambs averaging £281. Robert Workman from Larne was next with his 123 lambs selling to an average price of £238.
