With the review into the governance of Bord Bia under way, I see the food agency is making steps to improve its interaction with farmers. It is inviting applications from farmers to join the new Farmer Forum, and is believed to be advertising for positions on the farm engagement team too.
In the meantime, I hear that Bord Bia isn’t waiting around and three existing employees are being seconded to that role for a few months.
Michelle Jordan, Niamh Bambrick and Seamus McMenamin are the trio chosen to get the ball rolling on the new role.

After the occupation of the their reception by IFA members earlier this year, maybe Bord Bia has decided to go to the farmers rather than letting farmers come to them.
