The Dealer was intrigued by the news recently that astrophysicists from Trinity College Dublin are scanning the universe for “technosignatures” from outer space.
Apparently scientists have been searching for extraterrestrial radio signals for well over 60 years, looking for signs of life on other planets.
The Dealer wishes them the best of luck, but here in deepest rural Ireland I’d be thrilled to get a basic phone signal, not to mind an extraterrestrial one.
