Concern about the European Commission’s budget plans for 2028 to 2034 remains high among farmers as the clock ticks to 16 July, when the Commission’s budget will be unveiled.
Fears are mounting that the CAP’s ringfenced budget could be merged with other European budgets.
Minister for Agriculture Martin Heydon warned that farmers “can’t have their complete funding model radically changed overnight”.
