A company running 400,000 cattle on 16 stations in northern Australia and two feedlots in Indonesia has been advertised for sale. London-based investment firm Terra Firma is putting the 5.5m ha property on the market after holding it for the past nine years.
The advert describes Consolidated Pastoral Company (CPC) as "the only Australian producer with offshore vertical integration via its two feedlots in Indonesia". CPC's farms are for sale "as a whole or in parts". The company values itself at more than €530m.
CPC is primarily a breeding operation, exporting live cattle and beef to Asia and selling stores to domestic feedlots and exporters. See more in the report from local television channel Win News below:
