It’s that time of year again, when loads of Irish fruit and veg are in season, but imports are filling the supermarket shelves.
I even heard there were new potatoes in the shops from Spain, Italy and Cyprus.
Now, I know it was a later planting season this year, but should we really be buying new spuds from the wider EU?
Take an extra look for Irish tomatoes, strawberries, spuds, broccoli, lettuce, whatever you’re having for the barbecue.
