It is cleared for use on wheat, barley, oats, rye and triticale at either the T1 or T2 timings.

Penthiopyrad has been under evaluation in Ireland for many years but has only recently received registration. It is the last of the current generation of new SDHI actives to come to the market. It is a broad spectrum protectant active and needs to be tank mixed with triazoles to add eradicant activity. It is active against a big range of cereal diseases including eyespot, septoria and rust in wheat, and rhyncho, net blotch, rusts and ramularia in barley. The inclusion of Bravo adds to the spectrum of control and also helps against resistance development.

Martyn Rogers (DuPont’s country Manager Ireland and UK) said that Ireland was the first European country to attain registration for Treoris. He also said that this is the first in the phased introduction of three new cereal fungicides during 2013/2014.
