A public meeting to discuss how best to develop a tillage sector plan takes place next Wednesday 10 January at 7.45pm. Hosted by the Irish Grain Growers Group, speakers include Oireachtas agriculture committee chair Pat Deering, Country Crest CEO Michael Hoey and tillage farmer Darragh Cleary. The meeting is in the Millrace Hotel, Bunclody, Co Wexford.

The Irish Seed Trade Association (ISTA) hosts three tillage seminars in January focused on seed purchasing, maximising yield and tackling weed problems.

The venue for 16 January is Mount Wolseley Hotel, Tullow; 17 January is Clonmel Park Hotel, Clonmel; and on 18 January the Knightsbrook Hotel in Trim.
All seminars will take place from 10am to 12.30pm, concluding with lunch, and entry is free.
