The weather will remain favourable for the spread of blight in Connacht, Ulster and north Leinster with a yellow warning in place for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Patchy rain and drizzle is forecast to continue until the end of Friday, especially in the north and west, where it will be persistent at times. Day temperatures will be in the mid to high teens.

Met Éireann advises that there will be opportunities for spraying this Wednesday afternoon and evening.
