I hear the Food Vision tillage group is to meet on 10 December. It hasn’t met in a good few months, I think February was the last outing, although I hear plenty were asking for a meeting.
It will be the first meeting held since the IFA’s tillage crisis meeting in September.
The group is to be updated on how the 28 actions in the report are coming along. So far only one has been implemented – financial support for farmers and it was well below what was asked for. Looking at the current situation in tillage, all 28 will be needed to help the sector.
