“Revenue is very aware of the difficulties that affected many households and businesses as a result of the recent storms and is conscious that this may have impacted on preparations to meet the upcoming online pay and file deadline,” a spokesperson said this week.

The new deadline to file tax returns and make payments through Revenue Online Services is midnight on 16 November, 48 hours later than originally planned.

Revenue phone lines will remain open until midnight on the nights leading up to the new deadline.

The deadline for paper filings remains unchanged at midnight this Tuesday 31 October.
