UAS conference to focus on ‘max yield from the field’
January's arable conference at Greenmount will focus heavily on matters relating to 'max yield from the field', with a range of speakers that should be of interest to all growers.
At the UAS launch of the upcoming Greenmount arable conference were UAS members Bruce Steele, Andrew Herron, James Mathers and Leigh McClean.

The Ulster Arable Society conference, organised in conjunction with CAFRE and the Ulster Farmers Union, will major on topics relating to “Max yield form the field”.
There will be a range of presentations with the morning topics ranging from the importance of yield to profitability, contributors to spring barley yield and a Scottish farmer’s view of maximising yield. In the afternoon there will be presentations on the Yield Enhancement network (YEN), crop nutrition for maximum yield and breaking the wheat yield plateau.
Speakers include John Spink of Teagasc, Colin McGregor, a grower from the Borders region, Roger Sylvester Bradley from ADAS, Mark Tucker from YARA and Jake Freestone, a grower and Nuffield Scholar from Worcester.

The conference will take place on Tuesday 12 January 2016 at Greenmount Campus with registration from 9.30am. Conference fee is £25 if booked before 7 January. Contact CAFRE technology admin on +44 28 9442 6770 to register.
