Arrabawn has increased its milk price for June supplies by 1.5c/l to 28.93c/l excluding VAT.

The lift in price “reflects the recent upturn in dairy markets”, an Arrabawn spokesperson said.

The board of Arrabawn met on Friday and it is the latest processor to increase its price.

Carbery increased its member milk suppliers’ price for June to 30.26c/l excluding VAT, an increase of 0.5c/l on the May price.

Dairygold also increased its price by 1c/l, bringing the June price to 28.64c/l. Earlier in the week Kerry Group set a milk price of 28.9c/l excluding VAT, a lift just shy of 1c/l.

Glanbia set a milk price of 28.55c/l excluding VAT, a rise of 1.5c/l, and Lakeland lifted its price by 1c/l to 28.5c/l.

Ornua PPI increase

The Ornua PPI increased to 101.7 percentage points, equivalent to a milk price of 28.55c/l excluding VAT.

The price is based on Ornua’s product purchase mix and assumed costs of 6.5c/l.

It is a marginal increase on the May PPI is attributable to stable returns across the Ornua product mix.
