A farmer was airlifted from the Lough Mohra area of the Comeragh Mountains by South Eastern Mountain Rescue Ireland (SEMRA) on Sunday 3 May.
The farmer had fallen from his quad and injured his lower leg.
An advanced paramedic and winchman from the Irish Coast Guard’s R117 helicopter treated the injured farmer on site.
The farmer was then brought to hospital.

Sheepdog
Last month, SEMRA rescued a working sheep dog on the cliffs above Coumshingaun Lough in Waterford.
A SEMRA statement on the rescue of the dog outlined: “There was no time pressure and it is a good example of the skills we have developed in heights rescue down the years. A positive story at a difficult time.”
