Giving Irish women in agriculture a louder voice was the goal of the West Women in Farming group, which was set up last year.
On 7 October the group are hosting a farm family fun and safety day at Hilltop Dairy farm in Tulsk, Co Roscommon. Joined by AgriKids, the team are set to educate people on both farm safety and the origins of their food.
There will be plenty of fun too with music and cows on the day, as well as an array of local food and goods stalls. The organising team warmly welcome further suggestions and contributions.
