3 Hail Marys

This is not 3 Hail Marys' first time around the block. The play, written by Tommy Marren of Mid-West Radio, has run several times before, including at the Gaiety in Dublin in 2019.

Now it comes back to the Hawk’s Well Theatre in Sligo on 17 and 18 June.

The play focuses on the Marys, three friends in a nursing home who have dementia.

With a great flourish of humour, we are taken through the three Marys’ last day in their current nursing home. They are all being moved to new establishments by the end of the day.

Contemporary Music Festival Louth

After a three-year hiatus, Louth Contemporary Music Society is back with its midsummer festival.

This year it is aptly titled ‘Nothing has changed. Everything has changed’ - a nod to the fact that we are back at events, but also that the pandemic has changed many things.

The festival will take place on 17 and 18 June in Dundalk. With a great line-up of world-renowned composers and soloists from Ireland and beyond, the festival opens at St Nicholas Church of Ireland. The festival will also take place in the Spirit Store.

There will be new works by Gavin Bryars, Andrew Synnott and Siobhán Cleary.
