Farmers have three weeks in which to apply for the scheme. Payments are scheduled to be made in the final three months of 2019.
To qualify for payment, farmers must be a member of Bord Bia’s quality assurance scheme or an environmental scheme. They must also commit to reducing bovine nitrogen by 5% by summer 2021.
