Tesco Ireland is the latest supermarket to announce a drop in its own-label milk prices, becoming the third retailer to cut milk prices in recent days.

The supermarket has moved to cut the price of 2l of fresh milk from €2.45 to €2.35 and a litre of milk from €1.25 to €1.19.

“While cost pressures remain across the supply chain, we’re committed to keeping prices affordable and helping households to manage their weekly shop, without compromising on quality or our support for Irish suppliers,” a Tesco spokesperson said.
