GPS specialist Topcon is to introduce the new X23, a high-performance 8.4in touchscreen console for entry-level needs. The console includes functionality upgrade options for expanding operational demands as needed by the farmer.
The console runs Topcon Horizon software. It is designed to offer a simple, industry-leading, easy-to-use, icon-based interface with a full range of guidance patterns.
The console features a bright, sunlight-readable display, designed for easy setup on market-leading vehicle platforms, including tractors, sprayers and harvesters.
With the purchase of an unlock code, it becomes Isobus capable, which provides flexibility to interface with a lot of machines including fertiliser spreaders and sprayers that are Isobus-compatible.
“The X23 features visual section control capable of up to 10 sections. It can also be upgraded to provide application control and variable rate control – allowing the user to automatically switch sections on and off, to eliminate gaps, overlaps and reduce inputs while protecting crops. Liquid rate control keeps application rates constant even with varied vehicle speeds,” said Michael Stone, Topcon Agriculture vice president of product management.
The X23 extends the offering of Topcon X Family touchscreen consoles. It is an ideal entry-level product for the farmer who needs a complete solution for a variety of applications such as spraying and ISO compatibility.
“One of the main benefits of the X23 is its great versatility. It is based on a pay-per-use model, allowing the farmer to select the software functionalities based on their specific needs, thus maximising the return on investment and the profitability of this piece of equipment,” said Stone.
