Carlow-based machinery manufacturer Grass Technology has plans to exhibit its full range of zero grazing machines, slurry handling equipment and its beet equipment at next week’s outing in Laois.

The firm is planning on showcasing a selection of zero grazing machines including the GT100, GT120 and GT140. These machines come equipped with a 2.1m cutting width PZ drum mower, which is fitted with four blades.

Grass Technology has plans to exhibit its full range of zero grazing machines, slurry handling equipment and its beet equipment at the Ploughing.

From here, the grass is lifted into the machine via an elevator that rotates at 70rpm to avoid damaging the young grass.

The hydraulics on the unit are operated using an electro hydraulic system and just require a single set of flow and return valves.

As standard, the machines are carried on segmented double bogie axles for weight. The largest GT160 can be fitted with a tri-axle system with rear steering.

The manufacturer will be exhibiting its full range of slurry handling equipment, which starts with 1,700gal tankers and ranges up to the 4,500gal twin axle unit.

A range of retrofittable low emission slurry spreading equipment such as dribble bars and trailing shoes will also be on display.

The manufacturer has said it will be debuting a new hybrid LESS slurry application system. Although keeping tight-lipped on the details, the firm is describing it as the first of its kind.

Also on display will be the firm’s BeetMaster. This root washer, chopper and feeder bucket enables users to quickly wash, chop and feed roots in a single operation, without needing to leave the cab. The bucket is available in 750kg or 1,000kg capacity sizes.
