Non-residential block in Westmeath

A 34ac non-residential block at Cummerstown, Collinstown, Co Westmeath, was sold for over €171,000 after an auction in May.

The property was sold in three lots to three buyers. Selling agent Padraic Murtagh from James L Murtagh & Associates, Mullingar, handled the sale.

The first lot comprising the farm buildings on 4.7 acres was bid to €56,000, an 18ac parcel peaked at €48,000, while the remaining 10.5 acres went to €67,000.

There was no bid for the entire. Private negotiations ensured and a deal was struck for each of the individual lots at higher figures.

52 acres in Roscommon

Located in Hartland, Clooneen, Strokestown, this 52ac parcel was auctioned back in May.

The property fell under the hammer at €200,000 or €3,846/acre. The sale was handled by Thomas J. Cox and Co of Strokestown, Co Roscommon.

This was a mixed farm comprising circa 20 acres of good-quality land, circa 20 acres of marginal ground and circa 12 acres of bog. The buyer was an adjoining farmer.

22 acres in Carlow

Located at Kellistown in Co Carlow, these 22 acres of prime agricultural land were sold at auction for €200,000 back in June.

The land, which was well maintained, was offered in the entire. Finishing up at just over €9,000/acre, the sale was handled by Sherry Fitzgerald McDermott in Carlow.

17 acres in Meath

Seventeen acres in Moyfeigher, Ballivor, Co Meath, sold for €195,000.

This nice block of land is laid out in four divisions.

Containing extensive road frontage, the property contains a derelict cottage and haybarn. It was auctioned back in August by REA TE Potterton, Navan.

10 acres residential in Offaly

A circa 10ac residential parcel of land at Old Croghan, Rhode, Co Offaly, sold in two separate lots for a combined total of €150,000.

The first lot, comprising a semi-detached cottage on circa 5.5 acres, was knocked down at €100,000 while the remaining circa 4.5 acres of good-quality land sold for €50,000.

Both buyers were local.
