Dani Kerwick Bergin is from Co Tipperary. She loves her friends, school, horses and her family - mam Marcella, dad Don and big sister Kaci. She also loves to cook. She helps her family in the kitchen all the time and makes delicious meals and snacks to share.
One of Dani's favourite dishes is French toast - served with fresh fruit, maple syrup and powdered sugar. We have to agree - it's also an Irish Country Living favourite! Great job, Dani.

Dani's Cinnamon French Toast
Ingredients
4 large eggs, beaten
60ml milk
1 tsp cinnamon
Sliced bread
Nutella/chocolate spread
Butter, or oil (for frying)
15ml maple syrup
3-4 sliced strawberries
Powdered sugar (for sprinkling)
Directions:
In a bowl, add the milk and cinnamon to the beaten eggs.
Take two slices of bread and spread one side with nutella, to make a sandwich. Cut the sandwich in half and soak each half in the egg mixture for 1-2 minutes (until well soaked).
Heat a pan on medium-low and melt some butter (or add some oil) to keep the bread from sticking. Add the soaked slices of bread and cook slowly until crisp, golden brown and cooked through on each side.
When cooked, drizzle with maple syrup, add the strawberries and give the French toast a dusting of powdered sugar. Enjoy!
