Commenting on the IFA’s involvement, IFA renewables project group secretary Fintan Conway said: “We're delighted to be associated with the new Energy and Rural Business Show, following on from the unprecedented success of Energy Now Expo.

Energy and rural development specialist at Teagasc Barry Caslin is speaking at the show and is clear that there is a strong need for up-to-date renewable energy and farm diversification advice.
"Ireland has committed to producing at least 16% of its energy from renewable sources by 2020 and farmers are looking for land use alternatives and to benefit from green initiatives.
"Irish farmers can take the lead in renewables and energy innovation as we transition to a low-carbon economy and benefit from the latest opportunities at this leading industry event."
