Logan’s farm in Drumshambo, Co Leitrim, is opening its gates on Sunday 2 February for Leitrim Macra’s first Young Farmer Development Group (YFDG) farm walk of 2020.

The farm itself is a beef enterprise, which provides cattle for live export, breeds Limousins and runs a suckler-to-weanling system.

The walk will start at 1pm, when a number of experts will join the group to discuss several topics such as genetics, live exports, suckler-to-weanling systems, AI and pedigree Limousin breeding.

Speakers confirmed to attend on the day are Arthur Bredin of Western Live Exports, John McDaniel of Progressive Genetics and Michael Oliver from the Irish Limousin Cattle Society.

The walk will finish at 3pm with refreshments provided afterwards.
