A 145ac dairy farm in Co Limerick has come on the market, for sale by private treaty by joint agents John Giltinane & Associates, Adare, and John Flynn Auctioneer, Charleville.

The farm is at Duxtown, which is halfway between Rathkeale and Ballingarry.

The land is in one large block and is mainly south-facing. This is an intensive grassland farming area, with very productive, high-yielding land. The auctioneers say that it can be used for 10 or 11 months of the year.

This farm is laid out in paddocks and has internal roadways in place. There is access to the farm from two roads at either end of the property. It has entitlements to EU basic payment of approximately €18,400 per year.

Duxtown is mid way between Rathkeale and Ballingarry.

The farm is in use for dairying. In the yard, there is a 20-unit Dairymaster milking machine with diversion line, swing arms and automatic feeding. There is a 10,000-litre (2,000-gallon) Mueller bulk tank.
