Tirlán will pay a total of 39.31c/l , excluding VAT, for February milk at 3.6% butterfat and 3.3% protein. This consists of a base price of 34.05c/l, excluding VAT.
In addition, it includes a seasonality payment of 4.78c/l, excluding VAT, for milk supplied in February that meets the quality criteria and also applies to non-contracted volumes from autumn calving and liquid milk scheme members.
A sustainability action payment of 0.48c/l, excluding VAT is also included for all qualifying suppliers.
Tirlán has said: “the base price, seasonality payment and sustainability action payment will be adjusted to reflect the actual constituents of milk delivered by suppliers.”
The board of Tirlán has also announced that the same rates of seasonality bonus payments will apply in December 2026 (4.78c/l), January 2027 (6.7c/l) and February of 2027 (4.78c/l), excluding VAT.
Tirlán chair, John Murphy commented: “we are pleased to be in a position to confirm our February milk price as announced two months ago. Farmers welcomed the certainty and support provided by a price commitment across the three-month period of December to February inclusive.
“In recent weeks there has been some welcome improvement in market prices. The board will continue to monitor market developments on a monthly basis.”
