Four potential buyers have expressed intent to participate in this week’s auction of c50ac near Baltinglass, Co Wicklow.

The land is at Hughestown and the auction, which is being handled by Michael Lyng, takes place Friday, 15 September.

This holding lies in two divisions of c32ac and 18ac. The larger block has an old dwelling house which is intact but in need of renovation and modernisation, plus some old stone outbuildings.

The auction will feature lots. Lot one will be the c32ac with the derelict house. Lot two will be the 18ac and Lot three will be the entire.

Michael Lyng says: “There has been good interest in this holding. There are progressive farmers in this area.”

He is guiding the farm at €10,000/ac to €14,000/ac.
