Over 10,000 visitors are expected to pass through the gates of the Teagasc Mellows Campus, Athenry, Co Galway, on Saturday next, 7 July, for Sheep2018 Farm to Fork.
The event, which takes place from 10am to 5pm, combines the latest technical information for sheep farmers with a major food exhibit to tie into Galway being designated as European Region of Gastronomy for 2018.
The programme of events will cater to a much wider audience than just sheep farmers, with over 100 commercial trade stands and exhibits from industry stakeholders, artisan food producers, cookery and butcher demonstrations and agricultural education providers. In addition, there are over 30 sheep breed societies hosting a mixture of national and regional championships and sheep breed displays.
