The inaugural running of Show of the East, sponsored by Woodpecker shavings Ltd took place at Greenogue Equestrian Centre, Rathcoole, by kind permission of the Butler family.

A full card of showing classes meant almost every category was catered for at the show.

There were working hunter, show hunter, ridden ponies, lead rein, Connemara, cob, riding horses and sidesaddle classes, to name a few.

Judging duties fell to visiting English judges Olivia Bowen and her father Leo Bowen and Irish judges Shane McKenna and Amy Fitzgerald.

Despite receiving more entries than expected the show ran very smoothly.

The show culminated with the various championships. Sizing Australia claimed the Ridden Horse and the Race Horse championships and went on to become Supreme Horse champion, which was kindly sponsored by Bramhams of Buckingham Transport. The Equine Viewer Ireland Supreme Pony title went to Goldsworth Little Miss Mophet, ridden by Katie Wyse.
