If you’ve seen a hedgehog on your farm lately, you might consider reporting it to the Irish Hedgehog Survey.

The survey aims to gather information on hedgehog numbers and locations across the country and is organised by the National University of Ireland, Galway, in conjunction with the National Biodiversity Data Centre.

Farmers are being asked to fill out a questionnaire about hedgehog activity on their farms.

Volunteers are also wanted to examine hedgehog occupancy in different habitats. Training will be provided for these volunteers.
