On Saturday, thousands of farmers attended an Independent Ireland anti-Mercosur protest in Athlone.
Organisers have claimed that up to 20,000 farmers attended the event, which saw a march and tractorcade to the Technological University of the Shannon campus.
This was followed by over 20 speeches from politicians and farm organisation leaders.
