Agri Aware and Alltech Irleand are to host a social media masterclass for farmers as part of their ongoing AgCredible campaign.

The classes will take place over the coming three weeks and will provide an opportunity for farmers to learn how they can build their online presence and portray a positive image of agriculture.

Farming influencer Amanda Owen has been added to the bill. Her Instagram account, @yorkshireshepherdess, has over 26,000 followers. There will also be classes delivered by several communications experts and ambassadors for the AgCredible campaign.

All classes take place at 8pm and the lineup is as follows:

6 May: Understanding social media and different platforms

Gemma Smyth managing director and founder of Gemma Smyth Communications and Edward Dudley of Kilsunny Herd.

13 May: Growing your influence with the general public online

Social media trainer at The Content Plan Grey Fry and dairy farmer Peter Hynes.

20 May: Creating engaging content for social media

Gemma Smyth managing director and founder of Gemma Smyth Communications and photographer and Sunday Times bestselling author Amanda Owen, The Yorkshire Shepherdess.
