Assistant farm manager

Dairy Stride is seeking to hire an assistant farm manager for its 270-head herd in Castledermot, Co Kildare.

The assistant manager will work alongside the farm manager to assist with all dairy operations, with key roles to include milking (on a shared roster), grassland management, cashflow, budgeting, animal health and husbandry along with calf rearing next spring.

Currently 270 cross-bred cows are being milked on a grass-based system.

A dairy farm in Kilkenny is looking to hire a dairy farm assistant to help with farm equipment operation, feed planning and management, pasture and crops maintenance and feeding out and setting up of break fences.

Milking and calving will also be among the responsibilities.

The Northern Ireland civil service is seeking to hire a veterinary nurse, who will be predominantly based at CAFRE Greenmount.
