I see that Pengdu Agriculture, the Chinese cattle and beef company, is looking to increase the stocking rate in its cattle operation in China.

The company announced plans last week to invest €438m to expand its beef operations by importing 200,000 breeding females and 545 breeding bulls by the end of 2021.

It’s thought that the cattle will come from Australia, New Zealand, Uruguay and Chile, but I’ve been reliably informed that a few marts in Mayo have also taken some enquiries.
