Kverneland celebrates 140 years this year. In 1879 founder Ole Gabriel started off in his local village of Kverneland (Norway) manufacturing scythes, later developing and specialising in horse-powered ploughs and harrows. There has been much expansion and several acquisitions since, and some of the company’s latest innovations will be on show at Punchestown.

iXtrack T3 sprayer

The iXtrack T3 trailed sprayer is set to make its first official Irish appearance at the show. It is designed with a focus on a short, low and compact design and is available with two tank sizes – 2,600 litres and 3,200 litres. The tank design and valve panel have been updated for better user comfort. The T3 comes 100% Isobus compatibility as standard, meaning direct plug and play with either the Isomatch Tellus GO or PRO or any certified tractor terminal. With the included iXclean Pro automatic valve management system, all functions are controlled from the cab. Switching between filling, agitation, spraying, diluting and rinsing etc is all done from the tractor seat.

Changes to the frame include riveting instead of welding for a more robust construction. The suspended parallelogram combines optimum strength with soft boom balancing for its optional 18m-30m models, both in the field and on the road. Kverneland also equips the T3 with the optional IsoMatch GeoLift software. Once combined with a GPS receiver, spraying meets the needs of smart efficient farming, with the addition of features such as section control, variable rate spreading, documentation recording such as field maps etc. The iXflow spray line recirculation system with pneumatic or electric nozzle control allows for a fast-reacting spray system, which is well suited to automatic GPS functions. GeoSpray is another one of many options available, providing individual nozzle control. Track width is adjustable in 5cm steps over the range of 1.50m to 2.25m. The optional steering axle allows a maximum steering angle of 32° with 1.9m high tyres. The IXtrack T3 is compatible with Kverneland’s telematics solution. FarmCentre supports data exchange from field and farm. This allows real-time tracking of fleet movements, analysing of machine data as well as sharing maps where the crop adviser or farmer can send variable rate tasks to the machine via the FarmCentre application.
