DEAR SIR: The Irish beef industry, directly and indirectly, supports around 50,000 jobs, but the German car manufacturing industry has a lot more political clout in Brussels.
The Mercosur deal is proof positive of what Eurosceptics have been saying for years. EU economic policy will be formulated to favour central European countries such as Germany, at the expense of peripheral countries such as Britain and Ireland. Unless organisations such as the IFA, IBEC, ICMSA, ISME, etc, stop it, the Mercosur deal will do huge damage to our economy.
