DEAR SIR: Over the summer I cycled 1,000km north to south through a number of European countries, returning to Ireland at the end of August.
Nowhere else did I see cattle gently grazing on lush green pasture in the open countryside, as is a commonplace sight across Ireland.
There can be no doubt that the Irish product is the best, most environmentally sound of its kind, dare I say, in the world. Nothing compares. Why is this not proclaimed from the rooftops, why is there not a positive campaign to drown out the misinformation from the misguided anti-beef anti-farming urban lobbyists?
