Wet and windy early this morning with persistent rain and strong, gusty southerly winds. The rain will clear eastwards later in the morning. Sunny spells and blustery showers will follow for the rest of the day with fresh, gusty southwest winds. Becoming colder with afternoon temperatures of 7°C to 10°C.

This evening, rain will become persistent along the west coast and will move across the country early tonight before clearing later in the night. It will become cold after the rain clears with temperatures falling to between 3°C and 6°C with fresh southwest winds.
