Six eastern counties have been warned to prepare for up to 5cm of snow from Monday evening.
Met Éireann has issued a status yellow snow and ice warning for counties Dublin, Kildare, Louth, Meath, Monaghan and Wicklow.
It is due to come into effect from 6pm on Monday 8 February and remain in place for at least 24 hours.
The national forecaster has warned that there will be snow accumulations of 2cm to 5cm in places.
