Friday

Met Éireann has forecast for Friday to be mainly dry with any frost and fog clearing in the morning.

The cloud is set to be more broken than in recent days, which will allow some decent sunny spells to develop. Highest temperatures on Friday are expected to vary between 5°C and 9°C with mostly light breezes.

It will be a cold night on Friday, with temperatures falling close to freezing in some counties in the north and east.

Frost, mist and fog patches are all forecast too.

On Friday night it will be less cold in the rest of the country under cloudier skies with temperatures of 3°C to 6°C.

Saturday

Saturday will bring some bright or sunny spells, mainly to parts of the east and north, according to Met Éireann.

Overall it is forecast to be generally cloudy with some light rain in western coastal areas later in the day. Top temperatures will reach between 6°C and 10°C, the coolest of which will be over Ulster.

On Saturday night, Met Éireann said that patchy light rain and drizzle will later die out and there will be a few clear breaks over Ulster.

Nationwide temperatures will vary between 2°C and 7°C, with some patches of frost.

Sunday

Sunday is forecast to be mainly dry in the eastern half of the country, with mist, fog and low cloud thinning to give some bright or sunny spells.

It looks set to be rather cloudy and misty elsewhere, with some rain in places, mainly in Atlantic coastal counties. Highest temperatures will range between 7°C and 10°C, the mildest of which will be in the west, in a light southerly or variable breeze.

On Sunday night, there will be patchy rain in the west and north at first, then it will die out. However, winds will then freshen bringing further rain to western counties by morning. Lowest temperatures on Sunday night will vary between 6°C and 9°C.
