The Hardware Association of Ireland (HAI) is launching Ireland’s first hardware industry-specific job search website. The website aims to provide a platform to retailers, merchants and suppliers to reach out to potential employees who match prescribed skill sets. Likewise, employees are able to find employers seeking their skills.

The new HAI website is in response to the sector’s fifth consecutive year of growth. Recent figures published by the Central Statistics Office reveal that the volume of output in building and construction, has increased by 7.4% in the first quarter of 2018.

Annemarie Harte, CEO of Hardware Association Ireland said: “A thriving and recovering building and construction sector has a direct positive impact on our members from retail to merchant to supplier. It is excellent to see the sector recover post-recession as a lot of our members are indigenous, locally run businesses. Obviously, we cannot underestimate the unpredictable outcomes of Brexit on the industry. The industry as a collective needs to prepare for the unknown. The aim of hardwarejobs.ie is to help employers and jobseekers alike identify opportunities in the industry. It serves to enhance the industry by providing an inclusive platform which is responsible for the employment of over 19,000 people and worth €377m to the economy.”

HAI is reaching out to almost 400 members of relevant companies both nationally and internationally, to avail of this new source.

Registered employers on the website will avail of unlimited job postings per year, access to those actively seeking work in the sector as well as monitor job applications.
