Learn about co-operative decision-making

Are you interested in developing your co-operative business in the future?

If so, then the co-operative leadership programme for young farmers is the ideal place to start.

The Irish dairy industry requires dynamic and courageous leaders to ensure that it remains competitive and positioned to maximise the return to Ireland over the coming years.

Macra, in conjunction with ICOS, has developed a training programme for young farmers to introduce them to the co-operative decision-making process.

The course takes place on Tuesday and Wednesday, 2 and 3 December, and on Tuesday 9 December in the Horse and Jockey, Thurles, and in Teagasc Moorepark on a date still to be confirmed.

The course is supported by the FBD Trust and Skillsnet.

The total cost to participants is €150 to include meals and accommodation.

The criteria is that you must be member of Macra and a shareholder (yourself or your parents) in a co-operative under the ICOS umbrella.

The course is limited to 14 places.
