This week, we run a special an 11-page feature on reseeding (read more here). It is a costly process but one that will yield an excellent return on investment – that is provided you are stocked at a rate that allows you to feed the reseeded swards and utilise the extra grass grown. There is little point in reseeding if the increased production capacity is not exploited, or indeed utilised. Improving soil pH and/or addressing P/K deficiencies can help rejuvenate older swards, as will tight grazing. Here Jack Kennedy outlines some basic but important steps in ensuring you get the full potential from reseeding.
