Italian telehandler manufacturer Merlo has recently taken the wraps off a new battery-powered electric telehandler, called the e-Worker.

It will be manufactured in two variants, a two-wheel drive 25.5-60 version and a four-wheel drive 25.5-90 version. The e-Worker has a 2,500kg lift capacity, a 4.8m lift height and a 44kW (60hp) power output. Merlo says that at an average 6 kW/h consumption, the machine will have a working span of eight hours.

With low noise and zero emissions, the e-Worker has an edge when working in enclosed environments.

Italian telehandler manufacturer Merlo has recently taken the wraps off a new battery powered electric telehandler, being labelled as the e-Worker.

It is equipped with an easy-entry 785mm wide cab. It is designed so the battery powers the hydraulic pump for arm movements while motors power its traction and movement.

Merlo machines are distributed in Ireland by McHale Plant Sales, which said the green-liveried handler is set to arrive into Ireland early next year.
