Carbery has cut its milk price for April by 1c/l. This brings its milk price for April supplies to 30.8c/l excluding VAT for standard constituents of milk.

The board of Carbery met on Thursday this week to decide on milk price.

The price cut has been replicated across the four Carbery co-ops – Barryroe, Bandon, Lisavaird and Drinagh. A spokesperson said that the cut reflects lower returns for cheese in the marketplace.

Aurivo

Aurivo held its base price at 29c/l excluding VAT. A spokesperson for the northwestern co-op said that: "Aurivo will closely monitor market developments and pay the maximum price consistent with market returns."

Aurivo suppliers will notice a 1.4c/l reduction in price as the unconditional early calving bonus that was paid out for March supplies has been removed.

Arrabawn

On Friday, Arrabawn announced it would be holding its price for April supplies at 29.12c/l, excluding VAT.

Earlier this week, Kerry and Dairygold also announced milk price cuts. Lakeland and Glanbia held.

Kerry is paying its suppliers a base price of 28.94c/l excluding VAT, Glanbia is paying 28.93c/l, Dairygold is paying 29.12c/l and Lakeland is paying 29.68c/l. All prices are excluding VAT and are based on standard constituents of 3.3% protein and 3.6% butterfat.
